Purim Crafts

Dear Sis,

Today we made some crafts in preparation for Purim later this week.

We decorated foam masks from the craft store. William started by coloring his. Then we glued on some fun feathers, pompoms, and wiggly eyes.

We also started reading our new kid friendly book of Easter: The Queen Who Saved Her People by Tilda Balsley.

My review: This picture book is written in rhyme, and humor even parents will enjoy.  It hits all the key points of the story without trying to force deductions on the reader. The story is blunt and un-sugar coated, without over asserting the violence of the book. A great Tanakh story for the whole year!

We also made graggers (noise makers). Though they don’t win any ascetic awards, William loved painting the toilet tubes, taping up the ends, and putting dry pasta in them:) What toddler doesn’t enjoy a thing that makes noise when you shake it?!

Happy Purim!

Love,

b
